I was going to write a second post yesterday, but after the stats-filled dweebfest that the first one turned out to be, I thought I’d low for a little while.
Has your brain returned back to normal? Have the synapses firing all around your head finally calmed down? Have you stopped questioning why you’re even friends with me?
Good, cause I’m about to bust it out all over again.
My friend The Jayman (a big fan of cheerleaders, by the way), sent me a link to the trailer for the Transformers movie due out this summer. Check it out.
Holy bejeebers. This has ‘ginormous, holiday-weekend, special-effect-loaded, mega-action-flick’ written all over it, and I. CANNOT. WAIT.
(And did you notice it has Agent Aaron Pierce - from 24 - in it? If he breaks out into a “We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on! We’re going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!” speech, I think I might cry.)
In other dorky news, unemployed-mother-turned-kajillionaire J.K. Rowling announced Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as the title of the seventh and final book in Harry Potter series.
Personally, I think it should have been called Harry Potter and the ‘who the hell cares, you know you’re going to line up outside Barnes & Noble to buy it, stay up all night like a little child reading it, call in sick to work the next day so you can finish it in one sitting, and then go blog like a little baby about how the end of the series is one of the hardest things you’ve ever had to face even though you are a grown ass man, so honestly, does the title even really matter?’

I love that I finally found someone who has also experienced the “Harry Potter hangover”. I read book 6 in 8 hours.
I will cry too when I finish book 7. But Harry Potter will always live on in our hearts.
I’m betting money she kills off Harry so she won’t want to write Harry Potter and the Lost Virginity or something.
