If you don’t know what Craigslist is, stop reading this post and move your rural ass to a bigger city.

Anytime someone makes a posting on craigslist, there’s a link at the top where a reader can ‘flag’ the post and vote for it as ‘best-of’, meaning they think its one of the best postings on craigslist. Then every few weeks, the best-of-craigslistlist is updated with a list of a handful of postings that have gotten the most ‘best of’ votes. There’s only a really small number of posts from around the country that are added to the list each update, and they are some of the funniest things you will ever read. Its like the cream of the crop of craigslist.

Well after writing my little schpiel about designer jeans, I decided to also post it into the Rants & Raves section of craigslist, just to see if I would get any kind of response. The day after I posted it, I received a couple of emails from people who read it and enjoyed it. The response was positive, but it wasn’t significant by any means, and to be honest I had forgotten about it.

Yesterday I had some free time at work and decided to read some of the new best-of postings to occupy my time. I was moving down the list, reading them, when I noticed a posting called “Fashion, smashion.”

“No way…no fucking way,” I thought to myself as I clicked the link, but yes, it was true. I made best-of-craigslist!!!!!!! How fucking sweet is that?!?! The first time I post something on there, enough readers view it AND vote for it enough for me to earn a coveted spot on the best-of list!
