On Saturday night, I went to the afterparty for the B.O.B. Competition, where I shared drinks with none other than Anish Shroff.
Who is Anish Shroff? He’s the Indian guy (pictured below) who almost won in the first season of ESPN’s Dream Job reality show for a position as a sports anchor.
Two Indian-American-pseudo-celebrity sightings in one week! Who will be next? Maybe British-girl-from-E.R.-and-Bend-It-Like-Beckham? Or will it be Guy-who-played-a-terrorist-in-first-half-of-24-Season-4?

so when you say “shared drinks”, is that like, he was standing at the bar, you noticed him standing at the bar, you walked over next to him, ordered a drink, looked over, gave him a little whats up nod, he gave you a whats-up-but-dont-talk-to-me nod, and you grab your drink, and walk away kinda sharing drinks?

Manan, you’re an ass. Haha. I actually did hang out with him.Actually, a friend of mine at work IMed me today and said “I heard you hung out with my friends on Saturday.” Since he’s black, and I was at an Indian party on Saturday and don’t remember meeting anyone who even mentioned they knew him, I thought he was mistaken. But then he mentioned Anish and one of the other guys there, and I remembered that my work-friend had gone to Syracuse (where Anish also went). He found out that we hung out through them, not me. So not only did I hang out with them, they remembered who I was!
