I work in public accounting (auditing). For those that don’t know, that means I work for a company that performs auditing services for large companies. Think financial statements, SEC filings, etc. If you’re still lost, take a fucking business class you hippie.
Anyway, because of the nature of my job and because of all kinds of regulations and stuff, I’m required to file and retain a large amount of paperwork that supports the work I did. But there’s inevitably a large amount of paperwork that is not important and I can get rid of, such as random notes, duplicate printouts, etc. This is where the fun is…
Because some of this stuff might contain sensitive information, I can’t just throw it away, I have to ‘destroy’ it……..and there’s something funny about standing around by the shredder shoving pieces of paper in. It always reminds me of the scene from Boiler Room where the main character goes into the office at night and sees the guy shredding stuff. Makes me feel kind of guilty and sinister, even though I’m getting rid of garbage. Sometimes when no one is around, I let out an evil laugh.

HAHAHA I have to do that too when I’m at client site and I inevitably feel so guilty when someone walks by and I’m shoving in a mound of papers. Also, why the fuck does everyone have to give you a weird look when you do that? Rundis.
